Weekly Training Nights

During the school year, we hold mandatory training nights every Wednesday evening from 6:20pm - 9:00pm.

Cadets are expected to attend, and to contact the Administration Officer if they cannot.

What do we do on Wednesdays?

We start with an opening parade where we take attendance.  It's important to arrive on time and put your things away to be ready to form up.

Most Wednesday nights we divide into "levels" for three training periods a night.  Occasionally we will have a special guest speaker, parade practice, sports night, marksmanship night, or another squadron-wide focus.

Cadets are divided into levels, according to their joining date and age.  For example, first-year cadets are considered Level One Cadets, but may get fast-tracked to an age-appropriate level if they joined at age 14+.

A senior cadet and an officer or adult volunteer is assigned to oversee the facilitation and training of each level.

Instructors are all qualified senior-level cadets, civilian volunteers, and officers. Instructors undergo regular evaluation by the Training Officer to ensure standards are maintained.

What do we learn?

Our program focuses on leadership, responsibility, citizenship, community service, and volunteering.
